Off to the big city

Hallo!

Saturday began with a train ride to the big city, Brussels! We had to wear formal attire (um, yuck!) and be ready to tour the Parliament of the European Union. We sat in a private tour to learn more about the set up and what they do in Parliament. Interesting but unfortunately tiring. We all survived and got to change our clothes into something more comfortable before heading off to lunch. We had to walk quite a way before hitting the "city center" with all the gorgeous old buildings and quick lunch options. I tried a new sandwich today--bad idea. But a new flavor of ice cream-- GREAT idea! It was delicious! although it was hot out today and we were all dead tired and sweating everywhere, we got to see some of the highlights on the capital. What a gorgeous town! After Brussels we headed back to Antwerp to get dinner on our own. 5 of us went to the pool hall near our residence to get pasta, 4 Euros for a huge bowl!! Once we got back I had to deal with some email stuff to deal with like the possibility of a new apartment when I get home! We had some people down in our room to hang out and relax before we head out in the morning, ended up calling it a night a littler earlier than planned because of some supposed noise complaints. Now we're going to bed and it'll be up in the morning to shower and pack for Paris!! And I will bring my computer, no worries! Good night, tots zeins!
